Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Proxenitra.

By joining Proxenitra, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old.
• The information you provide is truthful and reasonably accurate.
• You are legally able to use the service.
• You are using Proxenitra for genuine personal matchmaking purposes.
• You will treat other members and our matchmaking team respectfully.

Proxenitra may refuse, suspend or remove a profile where we reasonably believe these requirements are not being met.

How Proxenitra works

Proxenitra is a private, human-curated matchmaking service.

Members create a private profile containing information about themselves, their lifestyle, relationship intentions, preferences and what they are looking for in a potential partner.

Profiles are not available for general public browsing.

Our matchmaking team may review member profiles and manually identify potential introductions based on the information and preferences provided by members.

An introduction is a recommendation only.

Proxenitra does not guarantee compatibility, attraction, communication, a meeting, a date or a successful relationship.

Members always remain in control of whether they wish to proceed with an introduction.

Profile information

You are responsible for ensuring that the information and photographs provided in your profile are accurate and belong to you.

You must not:

• Impersonate another person.
• Knowingly provide materially false or misleading information.
• Upload photographs that you do not have permission to use.
• Use Proxenitra for commercial solicitation or advertising.
• Harass, threaten or behave abusively toward another member.
• Misuse personal information received through an introduction.
• Use the platform for fraudulent, illegal or inappropriate purposes.

Proxenitra may request additional information or verification before approving a profile.

Members should keep their profile information and matchmaking preferences reasonably up to date.

Profile verification

Profiles may have one of the following statuses:

Submitted

Your profile has been submitted and is being reviewed.

Verified

Your profile has been reviewed and is active in the Proxenitra matchmaking pool.

Rejected

Your profile requires additional information or does not currently meet our participation requirements.

Profile verification means that Proxenitra has reviewed the profile according to its internal process.

Verification does not mean that Proxenitra guarantees a person's identity, character, background, intentions, behaviour or suitability.

Members remain responsible for exercising reasonable care when communicating with or meeting another person.

Introduction Credits

Members may purchase Introduction Credits through Proxenitra.

1 Introduction Credit = 1 hand-picked introduction.

Current prices and package details will always be displayed before purchase.

Introduction Credits are personal to the member who purchased them and cannot be transferred or resold.

Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, Introduction Credits do not expire.

A credit is considered redeemed when the member confirms that they want Proxenitra to begin searching for a curated introduction.

Before starting a search, members should ensure that their matchmaking preferences and core criteria are accurate and up to date.

Curated Matchmaking

Proxenitra may offer a Curated Matchmaking service or package for members seeking additional personal matchmaking support.

The exact price, number of introductions, services and support included will be clearly displayed before purchase.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise at the time of purchase, Curated Matchmaking is a one-time service and not a recurring subscription.

The 20-day matchmaking promise

When an Introduction Credit is redeemed, Proxenitra will aim to provide a suitable curated introduction within 20 days.

The 20-day period begins when the member confirms their current matchmaking preferences and requests Proxenitra to begin the search.

If Proxenitra cannot identify an introduction meeting the member's agreed core matchmaking criteria within that period, the unused credit will be eligible for a refund.

For the purposes of this promise, a suitable introduction means a potential introduction that reasonably meets the core matchmaking criteria agreed or confirmed by the member when the search begins.

The 20-Day Matchmaking Promise does not guarantee:

• Mutual attraction.
• Acceptance by the other member.
• Communication between members.
• A meeting or date.
• Personal chemistry.
• Compatibility after meeting.
• A relationship.
• Any particular relationship outcome.

Once Proxenitra provides a qualifying curated introduction meeting the agreed core criteria, the Introduction Credit is considered used.

A member declining an introduction because of personal attraction, chemistry or other subjective considerations does not automatically mean that the introduction failed to meet the agreed core criteria.

Payments and refunds

Prices for Introduction Credits, Curated Matchmaking and any other paid services will be displayed before purchase.

During the initial launch period, payments may be completed through external payment providers or payment links, including services such as Stripe or Revolut.

Payment may require manual verification by Proxenitra before Introduction Credits or matchmaking services are activated.

Except where:

• The 20-Day Matchmaking Promise applies;
• Proxenitra expressly agrees otherwise; or
• A refund or cancellation right is required by applicable law,

purchases are not automatically refundable simply because a member changes their mind or chooses not to proceed with an introduction.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude consumer rights that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

Introductions and member privacy

Information about another member received through Proxenitra is provided solely for the purpose of considering and facilitating a potential introduction.

Members must respect the privacy of other members.

You must not:

• Publish another member's profile or personal information.
• Distribute or publicly share another member's photographs.
• Share another member's personal information with third parties without permission.
• Screenshot and publicly distribute private matchmaking information.
• Use another member's information commercially.
• Use information obtained through Proxenitra to harass or intimidate another person.
• Contact another member in an inappropriate manner.

Proxenitra may suspend or permanently remove members who misuse information received through the service.

Member conduct and safety

Proxenitra facilitates introductions between adults but does not supervise communications, meetings or dates between members.

Members are responsible for deciding whether, when and where they communicate with or meet another person.

Members should exercise appropriate personal judgement and reasonable safety precautions.

For first meetings, we encourage members to:

• Meet in a public place.
• Inform someone they trust where they are going.
• Arrange their own transportation where appropriate.
• Avoid sharing sensitive financial information.
• Stop communication if another member makes them uncomfortable.

Members should never send money or provide financial information to another member based solely on an introduction through Proxenitra.

Inappropriate, threatening, fraudulent or abusive behaviour can be reported to info@proxenitra.io.

Proxenitra may investigate reports and suspend or permanently remove members where reasonably necessary to protect the service and its users.

Where appropriate, members should contact the relevant authorities regarding immediate safety concerns or potentially criminal behaviour.

Privacy and personal data

Proxenitra processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Providing matchmaking services necessarily involves processing information that members provide about themselves, their lifestyle, preferences and relationship intentions.

Certain optional profile information may constitute sensitive or special-category personal data under applicable data protection legislation.

Where required, Proxenitra will request the member's explicit consent before processing such information for matchmaking purposes.

Members may withdraw consent for consent-based processing at any time.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.

Where information is necessary to provide a particular matchmaking service, withdrawing consent may mean that Proxenitra can no longer provide that service or use that information when identifying potential introductions.

Members should read the Proxenitra Privacy Policy for further information about:

• What information we collect.
• Why we collect it.
• How it is used.
• How long information is retained.
• Who information may be shared with.
• Data protection rights.
• How to request access, correction or deletion.
• How to withdraw consent.

Account closure and data deletion

Members may request closure of their Proxenitra account at any time.

Account deletion requests may be made through the available account settings or by contacting info@proxenitra.io.

Personal information will be deleted or anonymised in accordance with the Proxenitra Privacy Policy and applicable data protection requirements.

Proxenitra may retain limited information where reasonably necessary or legally required for purposes such as:

• Legal compliance.
• Accounting and payment records.
• Fraud prevention.
• Safety investigations.
• Establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.
• Resolving disputes.

Suspension or termination

Proxenitra may suspend, restrict or terminate an account where we reasonably believe that a member:

• Has breached these Terms.
• Has provided materially false or misleading information.
• Has behaved abusively or inappropriately.
• Has misused another member's personal information.
• Has created safety concerns.
• Is using Proxenitra for fraudulent or commercial purposes.
• Is using the service for purposes unrelated to genuine matchmaking.
• Has otherwise seriously misused the platform.

Where appropriate, Proxenitra may request additional information before deciding whether an account can continue using the service.

Limitations of the matchmaking service

Matchmaking is inherently subjective.

Proxenitra uses information and preferences provided by members together with human judgement to identify potential introductions.

Proxenitra cannot guarantee:

• Compatibility.
• Attraction.
• Accuracy of every statement made by another member.
• That another member will accept an introduction.
• That members will communicate.
• That members will meet.
• That a date will be successful.
• That a relationship will develop.
• Any particular relationship outcome.

Members are responsible for making their own decisions regarding other members.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Proxenitra is not responsible for the independent actions, statements or conduct of members outside the platform.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

Intellectual property

The Proxenitra name, branding, website, platform design, written content and other materials provided by Proxenitra belong to Proxenitra or its applicable licensors.

Members may not copy, reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit Proxenitra content without permission.

Members retain ownership of photographs and original content they upload to their profiles.

By uploading such content, members give Proxenitra permission to use it only as reasonably necessary to operate the matchmaking service, provide introductions and maintain their profile.

Changes to the service or terms

Proxenitra may update or improve the service over time.

We may also update these Terms & Conditions when necessary.

Where a change materially affects members' rights or obligations, Proxenitra will provide appropriate notice before the updated Terms take effect.

Where appropriate, members may be asked to accept an updated version of the Terms before continuing to use the service.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, subject to any mandatory consumer protections or rights that may apply.
